Departments in the Merchant Navy

Similarly, for the Navigation Department, candidates must complete the required nautical courses and STCW certifications. After obtaining these qualifications, individuals are eligible to apply for a Continuous Discharge Certificate (CDC) from the Mercantile Marine Department (MMD), which enables them to work onboard ships.
